After receipt of your order, we carry out an initial survey of your property as a first step. This survey is one of the key aspects of your order as it is here when we determine the exact measurements for your door or windows to ensure a perfect fit. This is where our decades of experience proves most valuable to customers as not only do we verify measurements but are also available to offer our free guidance and advice ensure that you have selected the best options for you.
The survey itself won’t take long, but is key to making the installation process as smooth as possible and clarifying the finer details of your design. Our expert surveyors are not there to sell, just advise and answer any questions that you may have. Typically this will take about 30 minutes to complete.
Very often when customers are looking to buy composite or bi-fold doors and even uPVC windows online, they are shown an attractive looking price when viewing the item, only to find at the end of the process that they need to add survey and/or installation fees to the quoted price – which can all be significant.
At Doorable, we believe in doing things differently, which is why the price you see is always the price you pay.
Well in advance of your installation, a member of staff will contact you to try to arrange an installation date that fits around your schedule. We realise that in some cases, customers may have difficulty arranging time off work during the week for their installation. For such customers, we also offer a weekend fit option, which has proven very popular indeed. Should this be preferable for you, please do mention it to a member of staff when placing your order or to your surveyor and they will be delighted to arrange this for you.
What to Expect
We pride ourselves on providing you with an experience that is professional, safe and efficient when installing your new door. Typically, you will receive a call approximately 30 minutes before our installation team arrives at your home. They will check everything with you to ensure all details are correct before proceeding the installation, which will typically take approximately 4 hours.
Our installation team will completely remove and carry away your old door and frame for safe disposal, leaving your home as clean and tidy as we found it. Of course, you may also want to keep your old door which is perfectly fine too. If so, just tell the surveyor during the survey and our fitters will know to leave it with you.
